The Indians simply weren’t able to figure out Franklin County’s ace on Monday.
Senior Kaelin Farr pitched six-plus innings, allowing one run, three hits and five walks, with nine strikeouts.
Jacob Golson got the final three outs to help Franklin County earn a spot in the 11th Region semifinals.
The Flyers scored once in the third and fifth innings before adding two runs in the seventh.
Central’s only run came on a Nick Pietromonaco sacrifice fly in the sixth.
Eli Metcalfe was 1-for-2 for Central, while Cannon Spivey was 1-for-4. Pietromonaco was 1-for-2 and Carson Travis walked and scored a run.
Seth Barker started and went 3 1/3 innings, allowing three hits, one run and four walks with three strikeouts. Sam Coleman pitched 1 2/3 innings, allowing one run on one hit with one walk. Eli Metcalfe worked two innings, allowing four hits, two runs and one walk with three strikeouts.
