Isaac Smith didn’t hesitate when presented with an opportunity to deliver a gutsy, game-changing play.  The senior stole home in the fifth inning Monday against #25 Woodford County in the opening round of the 11th Region Tournament at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.

Ultimately, the decision was pretty simple.  Even though other schools showed a lot of interest, Madison Central standout Nicky Edwards had already pretty much made up his mind. 

Arm problems kept Jordan Horn off the mound for most of the past two seasons.  Still, the Madison Central senior left-hander never gave up his dream of playing baseball at the college level.
