The Madison Central High School baseball team wrapped up their fall season earlier this week with Scout Day. The showcase allowed Central players to be evaluated by college and professional scouts.
The team participated in a pro-style workout followed by a scrimmage game. Several schools were in attendance, including Eastern Kentucky University, Morehead State University, Bellarmine University and Berea College as well as a scout representing the Cincinnati Reds. "This is the first year that we have been allowed to work with our players year-around", Madison Central Coach Steve Roof said. "We thought that inviting scouts would be a great way to help our players get some exposure. We believe we have several players that can play at the next level." Special to the Register (11/4/11)
